Hi Phlip G.,
Kung-Hei-Fat-Choi, say this during the new year period (starting Jan 29) when seeing Chinese!
BTW: can you give an idea that if I should buy some parts (eg. motors & motor main gears)
for my Heli #10 right-a-way since I don't know how long they can last, the concern is this heli
is not a high-end product with brushless motors, I think they will wear out shortly and the spare
parts will be out of the market someday! how's your idea!??

did you get my message about the cheaper parts available at hobbyjapan2000.com?

Dear Dan
I did see your message regarding HobbyJapan thank you.
I am still waiting for my blades to arrive from Rc-Expert.
The parts on the #10 should last for quite a while.

I've been flying the horsefly for about 2 months (1st heli) and after going through the original 2 sets of blades that came with it and the replacements I ordered (including another-nonbent-flybar) I'm getting decent with tail-in flying. It says you can get "advanced flight performance" with increased responsiveness to inputs but the worthless instructions give no info on how to do this. please help.

Dear Mflauer
There should be a little flat bladed black plastic screwdriver which came with the heli.
Where you turn the heli on there are some holes for the screwdriver to fit into. If I remember
correctly one is for the giro one for trimming the swashplate and one or two for adjusting servo movement. You need to get maximum swashplate movement that will then make the head more responsive and turn the giro gain down a little this will make the tail lively.

Be careful remember where the settings were to start with so you can go back to them, you might put the heli out of trim.
There is an old adage if it is flying OK leave it alone. You have been warned.

Regards Phil G.

hi nmacwarbirds,
here's another hobby shop selling walkera #10 parts
for cheaper prices than hobbyjapan200.com, they're
all the shops in Hong Kong, very flexible in shippings,
can declare items as gifts with low vlaue marked on the custom forms
to cut down taxes, duties.

Hi Phil G.

I just ordered some parts from ehirobo.com (landing gear, blades, motor, motor gears, Trail truss & reciever board, almost a
whole heli, but the shipping of the parts is much cheaper, only US 14), it ends up 30% cheaper than the hobbyjapan2000.com,
so I used the saved money for the reciever board.

I can't wait ordering parts later because I crashed the heli outdoors due to the wind issue, it flew up (actually blown)
to 4,5 floors high & dropped on the grass (fortuneately)!!but the landing gear broken in 4, 5 piece and the 2 upper blades got chipped,
I glued the landing gear back with crazy glue but don't know it can handle the impact or not![]

hi there,

I found this shop is selling the NO.10 parts for cheapest prices & shipping. Moreover, you can pay them via paypal
for the security isuue, of course, you can use most credit cards too.

**(they even like to help cut the custom duties by lowering the value marked on the form since all parts to be shipped
from Hong Kong to worldwide.

I was just on the ehirobo.com web site and they list a 10 and a 10-Z (also 36-Z+39-Z). What's the difference?

By the way, I just realized they take longer time to process the order than hobbyjapan2000.com,
since I've order parts on Monday morning, but get the mail on Tuesday saying that they WILL
ship items when all are available, may be they don't have all parts in stock for my order
(I almost ordered the parts for a whole heli!).

If you can't wait and dont' mind pay more, go to hobbyjapan2000.com, they ship things really fast!!
same price for the heli, but prices parts are 25% more!

Hey Folks,
I just got my #10 from RC Expert. It took forever to get here but I must say that I am pretty happy with the product. Right out of the box (without charging) I got about 5 minuits of flight. It was balanced and trimed almost perfect. No shaking or spinning. Hovered perfect. I am just charging it up now for some more practice. I have downloaded the Outback Rescue manual from Venom because the manual with it is crap......I mean CRAP! One question for you guys: Does the charger remain red until the battery is charged and then go green? Venom says theirs stays green then goes red when done.... let me know.

I've got a bit of a shimy / shake. The blades seem to be tracking ok. Any ideas?

Also for forward flight I find that I have to counter to the right about 10 - 15 degrees on the right stick. Is this normal, or is anyone able to fly perfectly straight with straight forward right stick? Adjustments?

1. about the shaky heli when flying , did you fly the heli high enough (3 feet or higher) to
get rid of the GE (Ground effect/ turbulance)? also, if the main shaft straight perfectly
and the main motor gears are all on level (not angled)?

1b. Is the FLY BAR bent or perfectly staright?

I am a rookie too, so please contact another RC member(nmacwarbird) in this forum, he, a nice guy who really
taught me a lot.

2. assuming that you're using the mode II transimitter in N.A. with the throtlle stick on the left & elevator on the right, if you have to shift the right stick to the right for the straight forward flying, that means you have to TRIM
(adjust the horizontal switch under the right stick to the right a bit till can fly with straight forward right stick).

Once again, you can go to www.megatech.com for downloading a NICE printable pdf manual since the walkera one sucks!

hopefully is a help!

Hey Folks,
I've got about 8 or 10 flights on my #10 and I must say that it works excellent. I had one little crash and broke one of the landing skids but nothing a little loctite 330 adhesice didn't fix. I noticed that crazy glue doesnt work worth a damn. I still have a wee bit of a shimmy. I noticed one of the posts earlier mentioned that the blades may be a little out of balance. How do you balance them. Shave a little off or what. Anyway, I am really impressed with the ease of flight. I am already getting some fast forward flying and circuits in my shop. You can actually make this thing go pretty quick in fff. Running speed anyway. I am still a little afraid to take it out side as I notice a lot of instability when the ceiling fans are on. I think it would have to be absolutely dead calm outside to fly.

WORD TO THE WISE:
If you are in full speed forward flight, you need to ease on and off the controls. If you make too fast of a correction in Fast flight it will cavitate and fall. very hard to recover from.[:@]

Anyone else here in Ontario?

Hi there,
I am in Toronto. I broke the landing skid too when flying outdoors,
the Heli. No.10 CAN NOT handle any winds at all, if it's NOT a dead calm day,
don't try it. the little wind blew the heli up to 5, 6 floors high and dropped
back to the ground. I ordered some parts for my heli for a good price..
waiting for a new landing skids.

BTW: I saw a guy on the web, who wrapped the landing skid with a 2 foam tubes originally used
for the water pipe insulation purpose, it really works & obsorbs most shock when doing
the hard landing. I'm going to do the same thing once I've got the new landing skids.

That's a great idea. I should have thought of it before I broke mine! BTW I'm waiting for a new battery after the original Li Po lasts for 1-2 minutes before needing a recharge. Only used it for 1 month is that usual?

hi, you really scare me sir,
you said you've order some parts for you heli, then you asked
me that how you know if you got the no.5 or no.10 heli??!!

Fisrt of all, let's clarify the model you have, the NO.5 has at least
3 models, the older one and the 2 newer ones called No.5 ver3 & ver4
which have a open top compartment for the gyro & motors, vise
versa the old one has a closed one, means you can't see the
electronics from outside, but they are all at the same size.
see my first 3 attached pictures.

Fianlly, the Walkera#10 is the much bigger one compared to
the No.5, it has a noticeable ID is the dummy Turbo engine
on the top, see the FORTH picture.

**If you've order the wrong parts, just email them, they'll
hold the shipping and send you the right stuff.
the parts# for the NO.5 starting from hm005 and hm010 for the
NO.10. (the parts# in your heli's manual can tell too) good luck!

BTW: ehirobo.com and hobbyjapan2000.com can mark a lower value
on the customs form for you shipment to cut the customs duties,
just tell them to do so.
