Default #36 main shaft removal

I'm struggling to remove the main shaft of my #36. So far I've:

[ol][*] Removed aileron see-saw from swash[*] Removed elevator servo linkage from swash[*] Undone and removed grub screw on pitch servo[*] Undone and removed main gear grub screws
[/ol]

The main shaft is now loose but it gets stuck after pulling it out about 3-4mm and won't go any further. I've tried yanking it harder but I'm afraid I'll break something. I can't see anything else to take off. Any suggestions?

You just got to yank a wee bit harder, I thought the same when I did mine.

I haven't yet removed the whole rotor head, do I need to do this first? Should I be using the t-bar/blade grips to do the yanking? Thanks!

It's ok I've managed to get it out now! Guess I was just being weak!

Hi

I removed my 36's main shaft and after re-assembly the pitch rod that runs through the main shaft does not turn with the main shaft. It is still loose after tighening the grub screws on the main shaft. What am I doing wrong?? Please assist

Have you screwed the pitch rod back into the small plastic block? Make sure the threads aren't stripped.

Yes I have - it doesn't seem as if the threads are stripped. The rod still screws in perfectly and stays there.
