#4 main shaft replacement
Can I use the main shaft from the honey bee fp to replace the shaft on the #4? I know many of the parts are interchangeable but the HB FP does not have the clip in the middle of the shaft like the #4 has.

RE: #4 main shaft replacement
I'm pretty sure they're the same - certainly close enough to try. I have a Hummingbird FP and a VNRII (same as the #4) and the shafts look the same to me without tearing down both helis to compare them. I just rebuilt my VNRII head with Dynam Hughs, HB, and VNRII parts. I haven't flown it yet, but it looks like it will work.

RE: #4 main shaft replacement
Both of them use 3mm main shaft, the #4 shaft has a slot for the C-clip to keep the shaft in place, the HB uses collar. There's enough room under the swash for the collar so it should work.

D'oh! I was thinking more about the heads being different. Totally missed the part about the clip. Like E_Heli said, you could use the collar like the HB, or I suppose you could dremel/file/cut a groove in the HB shaft.
