Nothing in kit form or the same compatibility. Imex/Taigen is the next one down in price but is ready to run and not Tamiya IR compatible. And there is Hooben/Arkmodel but their
kits take quite a bit of extra work to get reliable performance from. Mato has just released a Sherman that has an option to come with tamiya IR compatible electronics, that may
have been what your thinking of?
