Had a chance to stop by for a few hours and meet folks, watch a few battles and drive my tanks. Over had a good time. Thanks for posting the event I looking forward to the next one when my IR systems will be up and running.

Glad to hear you made it out. LA Tank club and the museum considered it a success. Preliminary numbers show about 40 tankers who IR battled throughout the day. A highlight of the day was the big bargain bin sale from the museum's 1/16 tank warehouse which was stuffed with HL tank parts and surplus tanks.
I'll post a full after action report as the facts and figures roll in. It looked to be one of the best yet.

Post photos, please.
This June event is less than 20 miles away, I have RC IR tanks, but the timing is impossible. It either takes place on my wife’s birthday or birthday weekend. Great wife for sure, but she is not an RC enthusiast, though supports my RC hobby interests (she bought the Tamiya Lang and Abrams Kits). So, both of us hanging out at an RC IR tank battle in South El Monte would not be fun for the wife and the grief factor it might cause me would no doubt be catastrophic, if I abandoned her for a little RC Tank fun.
