Default 28% Extra wing sheeting

Hi Tom:

I'm getting ready to maiden my 28% Extra and noticed a section of covering on the wing that looks like the sheeting wasn't edge glued or has separated. Pushing on the area makes the sheeting lay back down. It's on the top of the right wing panel near the aileron. Should I not worry about that and fly it or how can I fix this? I don't want it to become a bigger problem later.

Thanks for your help!

Shawn

If you are saying that the balsa sheeting has come loose from the foam - DON'T FLY UNTIL YOU FIX IT. It is a fairly simple fix though. Just thin some 30 min or 3 hr epoxy and use a hyperdermic syringe/needle and inject the epoxy under the lifted area, push the sheeting down and weight it down, let dry, recover and VIOLA!! You're done.

How about some foam-safe CA...sounds quicker and just as strong to me...you will have to put a patch on your wing though. []
