Default Canopy's and various glues

Hi everyone. I put a post inthe Giant Scale forum about glues for afixing canopys. I'm curious what my extended WildHare family is using to afix theirs?

Also, Tom, would you happen to have a "un-sellable" canopy laying around there someplace that I could get to experiment with some various glues around the neighborhood? (craft glues available in W-M and Michaels)

Thanks!

Jon

I use Hot Glue!!!!,,,well I really dont use any glue at all I afix my canopy with screws only!!! and they have worked out great on my 3 WH planes,,,on the front and top of the hatch where you drill the holes it's only balsa sheeting and foam so I use hot glue inside the holes only the 3 front holes then I use screws there and they have been fine for many years doing that,,and the good thing is you can always remve the canopy if you crack it ot break it or want to add or remove a Pilot figure later on!!!!!

I've got screws in my Edge canopy right now. but want to secure it with a glue too, incase the screws decide they don't like it there.

I've tried RC56 or Formula 560 before, but didn't really care for it because it is so runny. I'm going to look for Household Goop and the E6000 at Wal-Mart or Michaels.

Has anyone tried Alieen's Fast Tacky Glue? Is it thicker than the regular Tacky Glue?

Jon
