That's the Greg Poe scheme, and served as the basis for our red/black plane. I changed it around somewhat because fading the black into checkers is impossible to do with covering.

I agree! It really sets the airplane off, imo.

When I get my MX-2, I'll definitely be laying up an MXS-R cowl for it. I'd figured I'd just do a one-off and destroy the plug, but you're the second person now (one at the LHS, and you) that they'd like an MXS-R cowl for this bird.

Thinking maybe I oughta consider making a mold for 'em *heh*.

I'd thought about Steinbach's SBach 3000, to be honest...haven't found one in a 50cc yeat, and the odds are pretty good that if we do, the cowl won't mate up to the MX in any event. So, some fabrication will probably be required either way.

You're right though...it sure is close.

Not too cool to come on the Wildhare thread and advertise someone else's plane. []

Yes and no. They do have a canister tunnel like all our planes, but because it's a low wing plane the wing tube is in the way and restricts the length. I suggest the Edge/Slick as an alternate if you absolutely must use a canister.

An alternate would be to use the upper wing tube location, then you could cut out the lower socket and get lots of room.

Sorry for any misunderstanding, not meaning to promote other brands it was purely in reference to the above cowl debate...

OK fans, hot off the ship here's photos of the Breitling MX2 that I put together in a few hours. I had a graphics set done for promotional use, as you may notice it doesn't exactly say Breitling.

What a nice plane! I used the upper wing location instead of the low wing setup, I think it looks really great this way.

$999 gets you plane, DLE-55 engine, hardware kit, prop and spinner.

I have a full set of CF stuff for all the 50cc planes too, wing and stab tubes, landing gear and tailwheel, $125 for the whole set or buy just the pieces you need.

The Breitlng or Wild Hare graphics set is $50. If you buy a complete package with servos I'll give you the graphics for free.

What a nice looking plane with the upper wing location and the WH logo's. But where is the bunny w/ the TX?

How does it fly?

I flew the MX2 a long time ago when I was testing the Giles prototype. It flies beautifully, not much different from the Giles. It's like our other planes, probably most like the Sukhoi but with less drag and bigger elevators.

Tom,

What does the underside of the red/black MX2 look like? Do you have a picture? Is it white, similar to the Sukhoi? I simply love the look of the red Sukhoi with the Honda graphics, but I think similar graphics on the streamlined MX2 would really look fabulous.
Taking a closer look at my new E-Slick I am again reminded of the uncompromising quality Wild Hare represents. Under my workbench I have a stash of servos and a 50cc engine begging for action, and these pics really of the plane with the slender, tapered wings in the upper mount location get me excited for another new Bunny!

All,
Mine is the Nigel Lamb #10 Red Bull Racer scheme. I don't have a shot of the Breitling underside but I do have one of Tom's original Wildhare scheme that he sold to my buddy Bob Dane. My plane looks just like it but says "Breitling" instead of WildHare.

Johnny,

You need to get a smoke system on that plane!

Jim,
You read my mind (what little their is) I have room in the can tunnel for a 24 0z tank and room up forward for a sullivan or AC int'l smoke pump. The Supersonic is already set up for the internal smoke coil.

Now I need WH to stock Super Dri by the case.
