Default Turbine powered foamy

This is my fully completed foamy at 8'6" long, 6kg wet AUW just about 1 pound heavier then expected thanks to over 1 kilogram (2lb+) of epoxy used. I could have saved easily 1lb if used very slow cure lighter adhesives but I hate waiting! So all I needed is 350grams of 12mm bronze bar in my nose probe to adjust CofG. Tomorrow will for the first time spool it up and do some ground test runs at my grass field to see how it accelerates before next week maiden at the sealed runway field, Joe.

Default RE: Turbine powered foamy

Yesterday had very dissapointing day with my first go as fully completed model. My "GONCOOLATOR" that's how we call 'Data display terminal' started to play up by going on and off, due to faulty wire connection inside of the circuit board. Due to this I didn't do the correct restart procedure after my first flame out because of too many air bubbles in my long fuel line. Just as well, due to the misserable southerly hitting the field shortly after. Never mind, hopefully all sorted out and having another go later this morning. To cheer you all up I got this lovely shot of gorgeous "Ali" after our Easter photo session, Joe.

Yesterday after this miserable weather spell we had last few weeks I have done 3 inspection flights, all under full control, she is a beaut exactly what I have expected, love it, Joe.
