Default supersport spool-up problem

Hello, I am new to rcuniverse, my name is Jaco Strydom and I live in south africa. Hope someone can help!

I have a wren super sport installed in a jet legend f 15. The engine is new and has not yet flown. The engine starts very easy, but if you move the throttle too fast to accelerate, the engine makes spluttering sound with some flames as it accelerates up to 90000 rpm and then flame out with the "speed low" message on the display. However, if you move the stick slowly up to half throttle and it gets past the spluttering, from there it will respond fast and speed up andachieve160000 rpm without issue.
The values on the ecu are as follows: acceleration delay - 006
decelerationdelay - 005
stability delay -050
pump start point -AUTO+1
pump start ramp -006
full power -160000 rpm
idle -46000
stop speed -28000
start/min. temp -100 c
max temp -800 c
Last message on display: speed low T=416 c
rpm 25000 Pw356
Can you please give some advice as to what the problem might be?

Both Accel delay and decel delay are much too low, wrens wishful thinking

Xairflyer,
It is apparent that this motor was set at the factory in England at almost sea level, and I beleive that jacojet is a bit higher in elevation.

Jacojet,
Set the stability delay to 100 and your accell and decell at 15 as suggested, you can then increase or decrease to get the best performance for your conditions.

Hope this helps

No matter what Altitude it was at it would never run properly with settings at 5 & 6 guaranteed to blow flames, and flame out when you shut the throttle on finals

Thanks for all the advice!
I set the acc and dec to 15 and stability delay to 100, seems to run fine now, I can slam the throttle to full, and it will not flame out, but it does take a couple of seconds to actually accelerate! Just have to get used to the longer delay. I am used to flying big EDF jets and the throttle response is instant!
BTW, I am 1500m above sea level!

what you also can do is
test how far you can go
i said 15 , because i knew it would work
but you can also try to go faster till you think its not good agian ,and then a few clicks back
just an idea
succes
Martin.

I'd be very careful "experimenting"
It might work fine on the bench, however......

I lowered my accel delay upon the advice of an experienced flyer at a jet meeting. My spool up times decreased, however I then started having unexplained flameouts. Wren reviewed the data from the ECU, and told me it was fuel related.
I doubted that, and ran thought the ECU settings with them. We then found the problem.

You can experiment all you like, but I'd rather have a slow(er) guaranteed acceleration than a flameout every twenty to thirty flights.

Jacojet - I fly in Denver at 5700 msl and I had slow down my acel and decel for our thinner air on my Super Sport.

Thanks for all the advice!
I have the acc. time set to 013 at the moment, and it seems to work very good. Dont think I will go lower. I agree with bidrseed2, rather a slower spool-up than flame-outs!

sidgates: what is your setting for acc time?
