Default Wren USA Turbine Forum Converted to Member Supported Forum

As most of you already know Wren US no longer supports turbines in the US and nor is Ron Ballard involved with Wren turbines in any way. This forum started out as a paid support forum here on RCU but with Wren pulling out of the market that leaves us in a little bit of a bind. Since they are no longer paying for this support forum you would think that we would pull this support forum. But that's not always the case. Here at RCU we have a policy of trying to preserve posted information whenever possible. We are quite proud of the fact that we have kept every that has been posted (as long as it meets out Community Rules and Guidelines) since the site came online in December 2001. 16 years is long time and a lot of information to keep a hold of, but it's all there!!!!!

Even thought Wren USA is no longer selling turbines here in the US I'm pretty sure that there are a lot of people out there that still own these turbines. And because of that reason I'm even more motivated to keep this forum online so that members that might have problems with this turbines. My initial inclination was to simply lock this forum forum down and keep it so that members owning Wren turbines could search for problems matching what they may have. But the more I think about it the more I think I want to turn this into a member support based forum. What that means that all I need to do is to leave this forum unlocked so that members can post problems in the forum and others can post responses to those problems, thus making it a community based support forum. Hopefully this will make it useful for those that still own a Wren turbine.

Let me know if anybody has any questions of thoughts about this action

Ken

Thank you! That's an excellent decision and as a Wren owner I appreciate it.

Good call! It may be less confusing and less sensitive to Ron if the forum name wasn't the same as his former company. Perhaps you should change the name to "Wren Turbines Member Support Forum", or something similar.

I do not own Wren, but kudo's on your decision..We are all in a tight knit community and are dealing with very unique products. Sharing information is a huge asset for all. Thanks again.

As a Wren Owner and I might say Happy customer of the Engines I have hundreds of flights on my 4 Wrens. I thank you for the change.
Now for my Problem... I need a Solenoid for a Wren 160K turbine. If any one out there has a spare It would be appreciated.

Default Solenoid

I've tried to PM you 3 times, but doesn't seem to work ...... got to love the new RCU.....
Nothing for the solenoid - just whatever USPS charges us for postage - need to get you back in the air!
Will go into the system tomorrow morning, so out on Tuesday.

I need the help of the members of this forum.
Any of you have to sell the ceramic kero plug for Wren 44TP.
Or you know where I can find it on the Web.
Thank you.

I bought mine from Wren a while back. You can also check with Gaspar at Zicoy.

Looking for a mounting bracket for a Wren 70. The one that it came with seems too small. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
