What minimum servo torque and speed do you recommend for cyclic and tail servos for the 500? For general sport flying without 3-D and for 3-D.
I have one on the way to keep my two EXI 450 Carbon Editions company.

BTW My Exceed RC 6 channel heli radio still won't work. I have another receiver coming to see if it is the problem.

you'll be ok with 25 ounces of torq or more. I am using hitec hs 81mg, check out my video www.youtube.com/jcer93705

since the exi 500 is the same as the trex 500 so you can use the same recommend servo on the trex 500 for the exi 500.

jauguston: keep me posted on the radio and see how it goes.

Andy,

I and a more electronic savy friend have tracked the problem down to what we think is a issue with the potentiometer on channel 1 - mode 2. The simptoms will show the same if we change from Heli-120 mode to Aero mode. We sprayed tuner cleaner into it and it started to work properly. Made a test flight back in Heli-120 mode in the shop and said Yahoo Finally fixed!! 30 minutes later at a flying site didn't work shucks!! Drove home hooked the laptop up and looked at the bars works again Grrrrr.I have ordered another complete system last week that is supposed to arrive tomorrow (Monday). The saga continues (-:

Andy,

The replacement I purchased seems to work fine .If you want to do product failure analysis on the tramsmitter I will send it back otherwise I will keep the receiver and toss the transmitter in the trash. I don't need another one.

The 225's work fine. Heliproz 's has the adapters. I am running my 225's, 5084 tail servo, Quark gyro and Flymentor all on a 7.5a UBEC set for 6v. Zippy Flightmax 30C 2650ma batteries. Flying with a Hitec Aurora9 radio system I really like.
