FZ115 fuel consumption
Hey Everyone,
I have 115 that is an absolute powerhouse. runs great, idles, transitions to full power just fine. love it. but I only get about an 8 min flight with only about 2 min of that at full throttle with 16 OZ tettra tank. I use powermaster 20/20, 16 x 7 APC prop. RPM is 8900. I broke it in on bench for 30 min. No leaks in fuel system and tank has about an oz left when engine quits. Will the MPG get better as it breaks in? What could I be missing. I have 4 8 min flights on it. I am flying an 11 pound 82 inch WS Focke Wulf TA 152h. Please advise

RE: FZ115 fuel consumption
Here are my findings after running the engine through another gallon of 20/20 powermaster. >>> The low speed needle was set way too rich. the engine actually loaded up @ 1/3 throttle and died when throttle advanced to full( after 3 min of 1/3 to 3/4 throttle). As the engine broken in more and more the consumption went down. I am now getting about 8 min of flight time on 12 to 13 oz of fuel. the idle has always been good. the low speed needle seems to affect the low mid throttle and transition more than the idle. took some time and 2 dead sticks to get it figured out. great engine if you have the patience.
