    YS 70FZ 16-6 Prop?

I want to use a MA 16-6 prop with the YS70 on a Top Flight T-34 Mentor. I saw a test using a MA 15-8 and the thrust was around 11 lbs at around 9500 RPM. I am planning on flying this plane in a scale manner and so the slower the prop turns the better for realism. The 16-6 is not on the list of recommended sizes. Will I damage the engine?

    RE: YS 70FZ 16-6 Prop?

I personally wouldn't run a 15x8 on my FZ70 as it keeps it at the lower end of the RPM range. I'd play with props and find one that gives the flight performance you want with about 10K-11K RPM on your particular fuel. Just for comparison I used to runs 15x8 on my 91AC. The 70 is a really strong engine and might swing the 16x6 but it still wants to run in it's happy range.
