Default YS63FZ-S quits in a maneuver

Hi all,
I've a YS63FZ-S engine which starts easily, smooth transition, lots of top end power and holds a tickover around 2300rpm.
My problem is the engine quits when I perform a 3 turn spin. If I open the throttle trim on tickover a good few clicks open so it won't quit during a spin, it's running to quick to land.
Is this a low end setting problem?

Thanks Mike.

It's not unusual to set up a flight mode switch for throttle. For flight you have a slightly higher idle and the hit the switch to Bering the idle down for landing.

Hi Speedracer,
Thanks for your reply. Someone else at my flying field suggest I went setting a low throttle trim setting for flight and landing.
I think I will go this route than upset the engine settings.

Thanks, Mike.

FWIW...

I have a 63 (not the S model). Idle is 2000 to 2100 RPM. Sig 2c fuel 15% nitro running a 12X7 APC. I'm not having any issues with mine. One spin or twenty spins it never dies. It will idle for 30 seconds or longer and still transition without hesitation, in the air or on the ground. Just flew it on new years day in 32 degree weather. Only change I made was to the high speed mixture.

If your 63 was mine, I would play with the idle mix a bit to see if an improvement could be made. Write down your changes so you can go back to your current settings if no improvement can be found.
