Bladder Tank
Dave,
Installed my 1st bladder tank for my 140 DZ. When I fly inverted the engine sputters and seems like it will stall out. I flip back up right and she is fine. I left the vent line open. Should it be plugged ? Could this be causing the problem ? Also I broke the engine in on a stand with a APC 17x12 running the richest possible setting full throttle for 1 full gallon she was running 7900 rpm. I put a 17x8 and she was running 8300 rpm. My first flight I switched to a Mejzlick 18x6 she is turning 9200 a few clicks rich from peak. I have read where you suggest between 8000-8500 rpm for the 140DZ. I am going to try a 18x8. I do not want to go to a higher pitch than a 8, and I feel a larger dia than a 18 is going to be to big. What do you sugest ??
Chris

RE: Bladder Tank
Plug the vent line and leave the pressure line on the front of the tank open so the bag can collapse as the fuel is drawn out of it.
It won't hurt the engine to run it at 9200. Play with the prop until you get what you want. Just don't go any higher in rpm then you are now.
