Default YS F120

Dave, Quick question, can you identify which model a YS120 is from the round protruding nipple that is on the back of the carburetor housing of this YS 120 in the photo, or did several models have this instead of, for the lack of a better word, concave bolt access indentation.
Thanks,
Dhammer

Are you sure this is a 120? The only one we've ever imported this way was the 140L. It was used for the YS shock mount.

Dave,
I am being told by the owner that it is a F120. The rest of it doesn't have the appearance of the 140L, so I do not think it is it. I have read somewhere that the FZ120 also came with extended shock mount, is that true?

The FZ did not. What you may have is a 120 with a 140FZ back end. They do interchange.
These were sold in Japan in the configuration you have. We never imported any this way, but it could have been switched.

Who knows? If it runs good, go fly!

Dave:
I just looked at my FZ120 and I also have the same nipple protruing out the back. I purchased mine from Tower Hobbies a few years ago. I was always wondering what this was for.

BTW: Do you have any of those "YS power" stickers laying around anymore?

i have an old standard 120 it is at least 13 years old. was in storage for 7 years. i put marvel mystery oil in it . ive have installed new pressure regulator disc and new leak free gasket kit. the engine runs ok but the oil residue has black color in it. i suspect the bearings are shot. is there differant types of bearings used in this engine like 7 or 9 ball bearings for the large bearing. what would be an estimate to replace the bearings and have u recondition the engine. thanks for your help

Service charges $30 per hour plus shipping. I would guess about $75 if there are no other problems.
