Default Regulator Rich YS 63

Dave

I can't seem to adjust my YS 63 in the midrange it seems to be rich all thru the regulator setting.[sm=confused.gif]

My YS is the new edition with the regulator on the pushrod tubes.

Sorry Dave

New type Regulator
13/6 Zinger wood
30% Coolpower

Transition is very rich after it sets at idle for 10 to 20 seconds. After I clear it out and use short quick bursts of throttle is seems ok. Then again if I let it set for say 15 seconds the transition is very rich (Lots of smoke until it reaches full throttle). the regulator doesn't seem to lean the midrange to full throttle out. Any suggestions

My guess is bad regulator. You might want to send it to Richard before wasting any more time on it.

Sorry for the headache, the 63's have been as trouble free an engine as YS has ever made.

I've been out of town, sorry for the late reply. I'll send it in Monday.

If the YS 63 is as trouble free as they come I'll not be buying another- This engine has been nothing but trouble- I am beginning to hate it- especially when it starts costing you planes due to being so unreliable- I'm not impressed at all- for the money I could have bought 2- two strokes- I have broken it in and adjusted it by the book- and it is still not worth a crap- I've had Thunder Tigers that have run better than this- I will tell anyone that is looking at a YS to look elsewhere- this engine flat out sucks- period- not at all what it's hyped up to be
