Default 140L With Black Gaskets??

Hi Dave.....

I just got a slightly used 140L with black gaskets that have deteriorated and contaminated the engine.
This engine also has a collet style drive washer instead of the keyed drive washer.
The shaft counterweight is round so I assume that it really is a 140L but could it be a 140 Sport?

The question is....
Is it really a 140L?
Are those black gaskets OEM or aftermarket?
Previously, I have seen only green aftermarket gaskets.....

Thanks

Dave H.

Does the engine have fuel fittings on the bottom of the backplate or only up front?

Sorry, the gaskets must be home made, I've never seen any black ones.

Hi Dave....

The engine has 2 pressed in fittings in the usual position at the rear bottom of the backplate.
The gaskets are obviously machine made very nicely in all locations except the carb/backplate.
That one is the usual clear plastic.
What about that collet?

Thanks

What about the collet? All the YS engines use it in place of the key. Someone obviously changed it over from stock. I'm sure it will work fine.

FYI On the gasket deal.....at the LHS I just got a YS2725 and the backplate & regulator are black....heheee...

Cool. Looks like YS made another change and didn't tell us. Richard probably knew and he didn't tell me either.

I understand your CYA maneuver.;>))
