Default 91 FZ needle settings

Dave, I cant find my manual and ran my engine as it came back from repair at YS, but I cant get it to idle down, it stays high, around 3000 and then dies as I close the throttle.
Can you tell me what high and low needle settings should be as a rough start point.

Thanks

Joey

Go to the website and follow the instructions www.ysperformance.com

I suspect the regulator and idle are both too lean.

Dave, I just pulled the valve cover off, And there is NO tappet clearance at any time of the cycle. I now suspect that this has been the problem all along. My question is that it came from YS service department like this, should it have come back to me in this condition? I feel terrible about trying to run the engine like this, but I didnt think to check the tappet clearance and just expected it to run when I got it back.

Please help,

Joey M

If it really didn't have any valve clearance coming back from service, call them and complain,
LOUDLY!

I dont want to complain to the guys, I just want the engine to work.

I don't blame you, keep trying. Today was Monday/Tuesday, and I'm sure the phone was very busy.
