YS110 regulator issues
Hi Dave, This forum has been a very useful tool thanks to you. I have a newly broken in engine that appears to be problematic. The top end RPM and idle at or below 2000 RPM appears good. The transition between just above idle on up to almost full RPM is extremely rich to the point of erratic to dying. Turning in the regulator adjustment makes no effect. I have followed the YS performance recommended procedure too the tee several attempts. no help. I purchased this engine last year here in the USA.
Should I send it in to you? Thanks in advance...

RE: YS110 regulator issues
Hi Dave,
I had the exact same problem and pulled the reg off and found it to be sticking. I worked it loose and replaced the gasket but now it allows allot of fuel to come out of the carb when not running. I do not mean a drip every so often but anywhere from a steady stream to a fast drip which all depends if I turn the prop up to compression or not. After getting the plunger to work freely my transition improved a great deal.
Should I also consider sending mine in or are there certain part numbers I need to know about replacing the plunger. I read somewhere in this forum that there is a plunger available that is a tad bit shorter that seems to work well. If there is do you have the part number? I can do the work myself.
Thanks

RE: YS110 regulator issues
Hi Dave, I received my engine in the mail today. Thanks! It's back in the plane tonight with plans to fire it up tomorrow. I feel like a kid. The guys at the field can't believe this online support you have provided. I got a real chuckle out of the 100% discount on the receipt for services rendered. One of the club members has a new 110 still in the box 2 month old. Should I tell him to get in touch with you?
Thanks again for all your help.

RE: YS110 regulator issues
Hi Dave, My engine is running excellent thanks to you. If I have any other issues, I will definitely look to you and this RC forum. As for the other YS110 in the box that I mentioned, I will work with him on that.
P.S. Thanks a million for your expedient time and attention to YS engine owners in the world of Product Support. You have proven to be first rate, with this particular example, full circle, once again.
Sincerely Yours.
