Default Regulator and valve adjustment

Hello Dave, I'm looking over my new 160 and noticed the face of the regulator screw is not flush with the regulator body. Is the 160
different or should I adjust so that the screw is flush ?

Also, the engine arrived with the exhaust valve set at .002 and the intake valve set at .000, piston at TDC on the compression stroke. I
should set both valves at .002 right ?

Default RE: Regulator and valve adjustment

Set the valves at .002, but do it again after you run the engine for the first hour.

The regulator may need adjustment anyway, don't worry about where it is now. If it runs fine where it is, good for you!
