Default Rebuild

Put back together the 110FZ recently. I have had a little exhaust valve leak for a while resulting in compression loss but no big deal, running great. Did have bearing failure. New Front, rear bearing along with oil seal and diaphragm replaced. Had to readjust regulator to get enough fuel flow to "prime" for first runup. I tightened it down a little for the rich transition. I peaked to about 8900 rpm with an APC 14/12 prop and richened two clicks. Next I refueled and couldn't get fuel and had to loosen regulator to get fuel again. Took diaphragm out along with plunger to check for debree. Nothing. Seems like after pressure is released it won't come back to prime the engine to get started without adjusting regulator????!!!. Thanks in advance.

Is the check valve leaking?

Don't think so. Found an "air bubble" under the diaphragm, removed it and started over to no avail

The tank is obviously not pressuruzing until the engine begins to run. There has to be a leak somewhere in the system. Are you sure the regulator is assembled right?

Thanks. I will go over the fuel system and go back and double check the regulator assembly.
