How to tell if you need new bearings
Troy:
I've had my 110 for one season now. I have been kinda hard on it having a few prop strikes. It seems to have lost about 500 rpms or so, but I could just have it out of adjustment. Anyway, when i rotate the crank, I can't tell if the valve cam is causing an "unsmoothness" or if it is the bearings. I have only had 2 strokes before and it is easy to tell with them.

probably bearings, and maybe a new ring.
If there is any rough feel to it.
Also a way to tell is to grab the prop shaft and and move it back and forth sideways. If there is any play its is time.
Usually the 4 strokes don't get worn out on the bearing they get rough. This is a sign they are bad and need replaced. Chances are the rough feeling is not in the cam gear its in the bearings if any.
