RE: YS110 prop for speed
Prop selection is based on many factors. From just therretical information the 13-13N will be faster than the 14-11 but might be about the same as the 14-12.
It will depend on many many factors. The model it is pulling will also be a determining factor.

I have no idea about the model....but the model choice will paly a large role in prop selection. The 13-13N will not over rev the engine I don't think. Bu that will depend on many factors your fuel and so will have a direct effect. YOu are just going to have to experiment and try different props this is what you need to do.
As I said before too many factors to count...the amount of drag the model has and the size and shape of the nose will be big factors....I never owned one of those models so I can't tell you the answer...Just that you need to try some different rpops. Maybe a 14-14N would eb the best prop for the application I don't know
On the 110 you want to try for about 9200-9600 rpm...Try not to run it above 10,000

RE: YS110 prop for speed
Troy,
Can you advise on prop selection for the ys 110 on a Hangar 9 spitfire. Using 20/20 fuel of course. Looking for a good combination of speed and torque. Not just top end.
Thanks
Jeff Fredericksen

I'd try the 14-12 APC if I had the model.
This should unload really well and pull like heck.
You might be a little low on the nitro content for the 14-12 but try it and see if you are over 9000rpm you will be in good shape. Goal is about 9200-9600rpm. I know the 14-12 on 30% heli will be close to the 9500rpm number. so a 20/20 fuel will be about 9100-9200 is my guess.
