Check valves for YS 110
Hi there,
I have a 110 that hasn't seen any action for a couple of years and I'm putting together a Sig Mayhem for it. I need to know where can I get new check valves and what is the best fuel line to use as well - considering Aerotrend blue easyflex, I believe medium is the right size?
thanks,
Jim

The Medium Aerotrend is excellent
Check valve
YS #0405 Check Valve
These are available from

WHile you are at it...Central has the best prices on the YS and OS #F glow plugs. These are the best ones to use in the YS engines. They are essentially the same plug both are made by OS.

Thanks for the quick info!
Anything I should check or be aware of since the engine hasn't been run for a long time? I Imagine the regulator is probably gummed up a bit.
thanks again,
Jim

I would pull the regulator body off. Whipe the diampram off, and flush everything with raw fuel in the regulator. Then re-assmble noting the little nub on the front of the regualtor housing. This points toward the prop....
Then its really ready to go.

Hey Troy, just a mention that I appreciate all the quick and pro replies. I'm an R/C lifer. I switched from 2 strokes to mostly YS engines over the last year. I've learned how to remove dirt from the regulators and tons of good stuff. Reading the posts and your advice has helped a bunch.
Thanks much!

Its not that hard of stuff is it?
Some folks get frustrated with these engines because they don't understand what is going on inside.
Hopefully I can help guys understand what is happening to eliminate the frustration. They really are the best performing glow engines on the market. Cube for Cube they make the most power of any other glow model engines.
Glad to help.

RE: Check valves for YS 110
Hi Troy,
Just wanted to say thanks for the advice. After 2 years of sitting with fuel still in it, I pulled the regulator apart, cleaned it all out with clean fuel and put it back together. Primed it with 10 flips of the prop and bang! I think she fired before the starter hit the prop nut! Amazing, like it was still warm from her last flight.
Looking forward to getting her in the air bolted into the nose of my Sig Mayhem.
thanks again,
Jim
