Default YS115FZ-S when/where available??

I've noticed this on the YS Japan website, when/where is this available? I can't seem to find it for sale anywhere or a price. Is there a release date?

I know the mounting pattern is supposed to be the same, but are the external dimensions (apart from the new regulator) the same?? i'm looking a drop in replacement for my YS110FZ-S and want to keep my hatori exhaust and it is a perfect fit as is. I'm pretty sure it's a bored/stroked YS110 but was wondering if anyone knows anything on this engine???

You might call yspartsandservice.com @ 775 267-9252. They told me end of the year for the 1.15. I would imagine they have seen one by now though and could probably answer your questions about the size of the case. If would be my guess that the exterior of the case hasn't changed from the 1.10S.

Blessings, Terry

Thanks Terry, I don't think i'm going to rebuild my YS110FZ-S, i'll just wait for this engine. I don't want to buy a new exhaust header etc though so if it's not a drop in replacement then I will rebuild my 110.

YS115S has 30.4mm bore with 25.8mm stroke. 730grams (7 grams more than 110S)
YS110S has 30.4mm bore with 24.8mm stroke.
115S will probably sell for very similar price of 110S.
Not sure how many parts are different, but it may be possible to convert the 110S to 115S.

Not really sure why YS went to longer stroke. Single cylinder with longer stroke especially 4 stroke may vibrate more. Isn't it?

vibration is what i see as well..........but YS will most likely pull a Rabbit out of the hat and redesign the piston to overcome the balance.

i have not had any issues with my 110S i bought this year, and for that matter it has been running right out of the box with no adjustments to the idle or mid range. i do run it on PM 20/20 with an APC 15x8, and will go to 30% and 15x10 once the 6 gallons of 20/20 are gone.
if it wears out, it'll give me a good excuse to get the better half to get me the 115
what i do find interesting here is the regulator............looks to be non adjustable.

They probaly went for more stroke, because there was no room for more bore. You can only increase the CC's by either bore or stroke.

i'll be calling Central Hobbies in the next day or two...........they'll probably have some info for us.

i'm sure they went with more stroke to get that little bit more torque out of it.

Have you just got your 115, they have been available here in Aust for about 10 months or so, we were amongst the first to get them.

Your right about bieng better than the 110, I have one in a 90 size swallow, the vertical is ballistic, does manouvers on about quarter throttle.

Only just got mine a month ago. I knew they had been out, but due to flying heli's and money constraints(just got married) I only just got mine......extremely glad I did now though it is taking a bit of used flying the plane that much power on tap! The engine is very reliable too which is the bit I'm loving the most.
