Carb gasket
Hi Mike,
Was looking at my carb, there is a 1/4" gasket between the engine and carb,
the hole for the air to pass is a little smaller than the venturi/hole of the carb,
ie if you look down the carb throat you see the edge of the gasket, would this cause restriction problems ? Its about 1/16 or so. My guess is that it would cause some turbulence for the air passing into the carb.
Also do the air intake trumpets have any real benefits ?
using a bisson muffler.
Thanks,
L

RE: Carb gasket
Typically, a little misalignment is OK, as long as it is not totally blocked. Velocity stacks tend to capture fuel spray and can be fitted with foam or stocking material to prevent FOD.
