Default ZDZ 80CC IN-LINE TWIN

hello all

i am looking at a Fiberclassics P-51 with a ZDZ 80 in line motor. what do i need to look at regarding this motor. is it enough for this plane? generally how does the motor run? how do i detect evidence of overheating? its the old style, what will be the differences between this and the new style of ZDZ inline?

will the new ZDZ 80 and 100 be drop in replacements for this motor.

what is it worth on the market, used (its had 2 flights that i know of)

thanks in advance for all of the reply's

cheers

joe

Old style ZDZ 80 inline is a very nice running engine. New style is much lighter and a bit more powerful. Unfortunately it is not a direct replacement from the old style, but close. Used can easily fetch at least $500.
Thanks,
