RCS140 Header
Hi Mike,
I want to run a canister on my RCS140, i was wondering what is the maximum header length that i should consider, reason being is the plane it is on requires quite a long header and i was wondering if i would create more problems.
Cheers
Steve

RE: RCS140 Header
Steve,
The header length is related to the pipe/canister used. A tuned pipe especially will require a specific length. A canister such as the JMB 40/60/270 Silencer will lose performance the longer the header is. Max useable length for a silencer is about 10-12 inches. Best performance is obtained at approx 6-8 inches depending on prop size/rpm.
