Default Use muffler gasket? Or Permatex Ultra copper?

Just wondering. I've had great luck with the Permatex Ultra copper on another 50cc gasser. Also I use Blue Loc tite on the bolts after a thorough cleaning. Is this ok?

I've heard that the supplied gasket can break up and cause the muffler to loosen, and then damage the mating surfaces on the engine and muffler.

Joe,
If it is a Supersonic brand with exposed bolt heads, you can drill and safety wire them to eliminate loosening. Peramtex will work OK and the gaskets do as well. We do not recommend Loc-Tite on the muffler bolts.
Thanks,
