Default Zdz 50

The first time I stared my ZDZ 50 was so easy. 4 flips with the coke and it popped. 3 more flips with out the choke and it started. Ran for 30 minutes at low to half throttle.
The next day it would not start even with a stater. What gives ????????

Did anything change between the day before and the next day like lets say you installed it in the airplane in an inverted position. Or was the first time in the aircraft.
I purchased the ZDZ 40B and this is what happened to me. It ran flawless on the bench in the upright position, but when i installed it on the plane It flooded really easily and I had to play with the needles all over again. I finally found and OK setting, but it was only after flying the plane a few times. On the ground runs really didn't help much as it would run different in the air.

I ran it in the plane and didn't change a thing. I am going to reset every thing and start over.

I would suggest you check the batt charge then. And remember that after 90sec the ign module goes into safe mode . If you flip the prop after that, you might be flooding the engine, owing that your choking the engine waiting for a pop.

It was so simple to fix I didn't even think of it. I Pulled the cowl off today to find that the linkage had popped off. No fuel. Sometimes it's the simple things we don't think of. I guess I could just blame it on getting older.

Great , Enjoy that new ZDZ 50. I've only flew my plane about 6 times and I'm already in love with these gas motors.

I also have a Brisson 2.4 and a Brisson 4.2 that is going into a 31% Aerworks Edge 540T. I will not go back to glow engines.

I am using a Mejlick 20 X 10. I haven't put a tach. on it yet. It pulls real strong. I will check the RPM's this week end.
