zdz 80 blue head starting problem
I am having problems starting the zdz 80 blue head. It use to start after a couple of flips, and I have tryed the 5 & 5. Now I have to start it with a starter, it runs great after you get it started. After it is warmed up it will flip start but cold you can flip it 50 times. Whats the problem? I don't want to buy a starter? thanks

RE: zdz 80 blue head starting problem
Be sure the low end is not too lean. Set it to 2 turns out. Give it a try.
Be sure the throttle butterfly is opening in the correct direction. The screw head should face IN toward the engine when closed. |

RE: zdz 80 blue head starting problem
Robert, The needles are marked 'H' and 'L' for reference....High and Low speed needles, respectively.
Here is a link to the ZDZ engine manual: http://www.zdz-modelmotor.cz/zdz/en/dfu.asp?id=1 Sorry Mike, not trying to intrude here...just help out if I can. Chad |
