You may not retract a bid. Bids are binding offers and cannot be retracted unless they are related to items that may not be sold pursuant to the laws of the United States or the jurisdiction in which they are being bought or sold.
Under limited circumstances, we will facilitate a bid retraction:
Obvious Typo. If you make a typographical error and enter an incorrect bid amount, take the following steps:
Retract your bid
Immediately enter
the correct bid (to evidence that you are not merely backing out of your
commitment). Failure
to enter a corrected bid may result in your suspension from the marketplace
or a revocation of your membership if this has occurred on more than one
occasion.
Unreachable
Seller. If
you cannot contact the seller via email or telephone, you may retract
your bid.
Changed Item. If the seller materially (significantly) changes the description of the item on which you bid, you may retract your bid.
All bid retractions (and their accompanying reason) will be reflected in your Member Profile for other members to see. If you have too many bid retractions, regardless of the reason, you may find yourself blocked or your account suspended or revoked.
You may retract any bid made at least 24 hours prior to the close of the auction provided it meets the criteria specified above.
You may NOT retract a bid made within 24 hours prior to the close of the auction unless it is due to a typographical error. Retractions for any other reason must be communicated directly to the seller, who has the sole discretion to cancel your bid.
From the My Market area, click "the Buy/Bid" tab. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the link to retract a bid. Be sure to have the item ID ready.
