Member Ratings & Profile (Karma Ratings)

In general, whenever a registered member of the marketplace sees your name, they can click the link and view your profile and ratings page.  There is a lot of great information on this page, including the number of years you have participated in the various categories of radio control.

The most important information for any would-be transaction participant is contained in a few tables that show your member ratings as awarded by fellow members.  For ratings, just click the "Ratings" button in the Market navigation bar.

Your Market Ratings

The following table shows a summary of one member's ratings:

At a glance, any user can see the percent and number of "Good" ratings vs. all others.  In addition, the user can see whether your ratings have come recently or farther in the past.

At the bottom of your Member Ratings page is a table listing each rating you received with all details.

You can access your ratings page just by clicking "My Market" and selecting "Profile."

Other Members' Market Ratings

You can find other members' market ratings in two ways:

Market Activity

Your activity in the marketplace is reflected in the Market Activity table.  This table shows what you have done and when.  Bid  retractions, bid cancelations and canceled auctions are shown here.

Rating Buyers

You will be given the opportunity to rate a buyer of your items (whether through classifieds or auction) once the system knows you have sold the item.  So, if you are selling via classifieds, you must mark your item sold by clicking on the "Mark Sold" icon in your Selling page.  If you are selling via auction, the system will automatically generate a    icon once you generate an invoice to the winning bidder.  Read more about rating buyers.

Rebutting a Bad Rating

If you believe that a rating is inaccurate, you may simply click the "Rebut" button next to the rating in question (on your "Profile" screen).  You may edit, amend or remove your rebuttal during the 30-period beginning on the date the rating was entered.  Note: If the rating member enters a new rating after you have rebutted, your rebuttal will be erased (because it is likely no longer relevant to the rating).  Since you are notified of any new rating, you'll have a chance to rebut the new one directly, rather than having the old, possibly inaccurate, rebuttal stand.
