Selling

From the selling section of "My Market", you can monitor and take action on your listings.   In particular, you can view:

• Items you currently have listed in the auction

• Items you currently have listed in the classifieds area

• Expired listings (this includes unsold items at auction and expired classified ads)

• Sold items

• Unfinished Listings (ones that you began but did not finish for some reason)

From this screen, you may also cancel bids, edit listings and block members from bidding on your listings or making offers on your classified ads.

At the top of the screen are filters to limit the type of ads displayed.

Viewing Offers and Bids

One of the most powerful tools in your selling area are the "View" and "History" links that appear in the "Offers" and "Bids" columns of your classified and auction lists (respectively).  By far the most important tool is the "View" tool for classifieds because it allows you to easily handle all offer activity from a central location and without the need for email.  Learn more about handling offers.
 

Editing an Ad

Although not pictured above, an    icon will appear in the Tools column of your ad listings, provided you are permitted to edit the ad.  For example, a closed or expired ad will not display the icon.

Canceling an Ad

Although not pictured above, a    icon will appear in the Tools column of your ad listings, provided you are permitted to edit the ad.  For example, a closed or expired ad will not display the icon.  You may cancel a classified any time.  However, canceling an auction will result in a record of the cancelation being displayed in your member profile.

Marking a Classified Ad Sold

Although not pictured above, a    icon will appear in the Tools column of your classified ad listings. Important: in order to rate the buyer, you must use the "Mark Sold" tool to mark the item sold.  This is the only way for the system to verify that the person rating you was the actual buyer.  Auctions end on their own and do not have a similar icon.

Billing the Buyer

A    icon will appear in the Tools column of your ad listings once you have marked your classified item sold or the auction has ended with a successful bidder.  Clicking this will take you to an invoice form that allows you to conveniently bill the buyer!

Rating the Buyer

A    icon will appear in the Tools column of your ad listings once you have marked your classified item sold or the auction has ended with a successful bidder.  Clicking this will take you to a form that will permit you to rate the buyer.

Reviving an Ad

A    icon will appear in the Tools column of your classified ad listings if the natural expiration date of the ad has not passed, but the ad is either canceled or marked sold.  This tool "revives" your ad instantly in the event that your buyer backed out or you elected to revive the ad for some other reason.  The ad will continue until its natural expiration date.

Renewing an Ad

A    icon will appear in the Tools column of your classified ad listings if the natural expiration date of the ad has passed.  If you are a pay-as-you-go member, this will allow you to renew the ad at the guaranteed rates.

Cloning an Ad

A    icon will appear in the Tools column of your ad listings.  Clicking this allows you to instantly duplicate all or certain aspects of the ad.
