    Included:

Venom's Easy Balance LiPO Charger is complete with 12v power supply, power chord, charge lead, and instruction booklet. All is packaged neatly inside a reusable cardboard box.

    Power Supply:

The power supply is Model # PS1205-5 and has an input rating of 100-240V ~ 1.2A 50/60Hz. The included power cord is fitted with a U.S. standard 3-prong grounded receptacle plug. The power supply has an output rating of 12 V & 5A.

The power supply plugs into the charger with a standard coaxial DC power plug and an LED lights up when plugged in.

    The Charger:

The side of the charger contains three separate balance ports as well as positive and negative charge lead plugs.

The balance ports are for 2-cell, 3-cell, and 4-cell Lipo battery packs. This charger can balance a single pack ranging from 2-4 cells.

A red adjustment knob is located on the top of the charger allowing you to control the charge output in ".5" increments ranging from 0.1-4.5.

A silver start/stop button and four LEDs are also located on top the Easy Balance Charger. Each of the LEDs represents a battery cell from 1-4.

    Testing

Using the Easy Balance LiPO Charger:

The name says it all. The Easy Balance LiPO Charger is one of the easiest chargers to use while still providing some user control. The red dial on top allows quick and easy charge rate adjustments while the LEDs confirm the number of cells connected.

Venom recommends charging at a rate of "1c". This means if you have a 4000 mah battery, charge it at 4 amps. A 3200 mah battery would be charged at 3.2 amps. This is a good rule of thumb to follow and seems to work well.

The LED lights blink when you plug in a battery pack to a charger. The number of blinking lights directly coincides with the number of cells the battery pack contains.

A single tone sounds when the start button is pressed and the LEDs go solid.

When the battery is completely charged, the charger will sound an alert tone.

The charge time for a 2s 3200Mah LiPO set at 3.5 amps was 59 minutes. I checked the LiPO with a meter and it was indeed a full charge.

The Easy Balance LiPO Charger from Venom is an excellent charger for beginners and makes a perfect second charger for racers.
