Venom 2s, 5000MAh LiPO

Venom 5000mah 2s 60C LiPO pack:

Venom's 2s 60C 5000mah LiPo battery pack is ROAR approved. The hard case adds protection against punctures and warping. Removable power and balancing leads allow for easy battery installation and storage.

A 2s LiPo battery means there are two cells totaling 7.4V and can hold a maximum of 8.4 volts. This pack should not be discharged below 6.0 volts as it will damage the cells. LiPo batteries are unlike NiMH and NiCD packs. LiPOs can not be discharged below 3.0 volts per cell or damage becomes a risk to the pack.

This battery is rated for 60C, which means you should be able to discharge the pack at a rate of 300 amps without damage to the pack. It is recommended using a pack that has double the Amp rate as your ESC to ensure you have a healthy pack for a long time. For example: If you ESC is rated for 80Amps, you should use a LiPo that can handle a discharge of at least 160 continuous amps.

Converting the "C" rating to amps:

1C = battery pack's MAh ÷ 1000

Example: 5000MAh 60C pack = (5000 ÷ 1000 = 5) that is 1C. Now multiply by 60 to get 60C. (5 x 60 = 300 amps)

Charging:

***It is recommended you use a LiPo safe battery bag when charging LiPo batteries. If over charged, LiPo batteries can swell, explode, then catch fire.***

It is recommended to charge your LiPo batteries at 1C, which in this case, would be 5 amps. I have however charged them multiple times using 7 amps.

Charging at 7 amps, the packs did not even get warm.

Testing the Venom 2s 60C 5000mah LiPO battery pack:

***It is important to note, LiPO batteries must be used in vehicles with low voltage cut offs in the ESC or connected externally.***

I have charged and discharged this battery pack about 35 times now and it performed flawlessly. I've run it in many different power systems including brushed and brushless trucks and boats with power systems ranging from 35 amps to 120 amps.

When running in 120 amps systems, the battery got warm as any other battery would have and still provided superior performance.

The brushless Gambler was a perfect fit for this battery. It provided good power and long run times. The battery got warm, but not hot, and performed flawlessly.

I have not had any issues swelling, voltage drop off, or anything else for that matter. This battery has performed great and the interchangeable plug ends are very convenient. I can easily use this battery in my trucks, cars, and boats without any additional adapters. I will continue to be a Venom LiPO battery user.
