Traxxas EZ-Peak™ 4 Amp NiMH Charger

The Traxxas EZ-Peak™4 Amp NiMH Charger is an easy to use AC powered battery charger capable of charging NiCD and NiMH battery packs with 5-8 cells.

An AC plug can be plugged directly into a conventional two prong AC power wall outlet. An external power supply is not needed.

The single LED light on the face of the charger lights red when a battery is in the charge cycle and green when charging is complete.

    Charge Options

The Traxxas EZ-Peak™4 Amp NiMH charger is a simple design with only one setting for the user to set. A charge rate of 1 Amp, 2 Amps, or 4 Amps can be selected. Charge rate is usually determined by the battery packs capacity. A pack with a capacity of 1000MAh is usually charged at 1 Amp. A 2000MAh pack is usually charged at 2 Amps and a 4000MAH at 4 Amps. I usually round up when choosing the charge rate, so I would charge a 3000MAh pack at 4 Amps.

Using the Traxxas EZ-Peak™ 4 Amp NiMH Charger:

*Before using any electrical device, you must first read the instructions and cautions.*

    Charging NiMH Packs

The Traxxas EZ-Peak™4 Amp NiMH Charger is very easy to use. Select the charge rate that matches the pack and plug it in. It's that easy.

The Traxxas EZ-Peak™4 Amp NiMH Charger is powerful enough to charge any of my NiMH packs within the times expected.

I charged the Traxxas 8.4v 3000MAh PowerCell at 4 Amps in under an hour. The battery and charger got warm, but that's expected. As long as they don't get hot, we're good.

The Traxxas EZ-Peak™ 4 Amp NiMH Charger is a step up from the Traxxas 2 Amp charger and allows you to charge smaller NiMH batteries for 1/16 vehicles as well as 7-Cell NiMH packs like the one the Traxxas Slash comes with.

There will be a noticeable difference in charge times for those of you who are still using the wall chargers included with the RTR vehicles. Four amps is plenty of power to quickly charge your NiMH battery packs and the Traxxas EZ-Peak™4 Amp NiMH charger is simple enough for most to use.
