The
only minor issue I had was with the transmitter stick gain.
Since I am used to adding exponential to soften the stick centers,
I needed to adapt to the higher gain of this non-computer radio
setup. A receiver-ready version would be a nice option for experienced
R/Cers that already have a computer radio and charger.
Only
intermediate flying skills are needed to handle this EDF Jet
as it is designed to fly very well and land slower with some
low power required until touchdown. Flight times were a solid
10 minutes with mixed aerobatics.
The
ParkFlyers R/C Jump
Jet is a complete EDF jet package that comes with everything
you need to fly except the 8 AA batteries for the transmitter.
The included 4-channel 2.4GHz DSM radio system did provide solid
glitch-free flying even when other planes were in the air at
my local flying field. The brushless power system is well designed
with components that compliment each other.
The
package includes a 3-cell 1800mAh LiPo pack with a balancing
charger and A/C adapter supply to keep the pack healthy flight
after flight. I was not able to install the flight simulator
program on my PC and I do not see it promoted as part of the
Jump Jet package so perhaps its inclusion in my kit was a mistake.
Overall,
I think the Jump Jet was well designed and it made for a fun
time flying. Once you have experience with a few starter planes,
the Jump Jet made be your next choice for a real thrill!
