"I
have dedicated the majority of my life to promoting and
competing within the radio control hobby and RCUniverse
shares my same passion and dedication. Their rapid growth
and expanded reach to all areas of the hobby convinced
me that they are the leading online player in the R/C
industry. I am glad to be working with them," said
Hyde.
Hyde
has won numerous titles throughout his young, but impressive
career. He is a 12-time National Champion, 11-time U.S.
World Team member, the 1991-93 World Champion in F3A,
and the 1999-01 World Champion in F3D. The first pilot
to win World Championships in two different disciplines,
Hyde won the Tournament of Champions three times, including
the final one in 2002 as well as the Helicopter Nationals
in 2001 and the XFC (Extreme Flight Championship). Clearly
gifted with the sticks, Hyde began flying at only 4 years
of age and won his first pattern competition at the age
of 5.
