"I
have been interested in airplanes as far back as I can
remember. Watching my 4-year old son brings back memories
of my childhood dreams to become a national-level model
airplane pilot. I have been flying models since 1978,
and have been competing in Pattern since 1980. I have
competed in 12 Nationals. I have found that quiet persistence,
attention to detail, and patience has made a big difference
in my approach toward modeling. What I enjoy the most
about the hobby is the camaraderie of everyone I come
in contact with, whether they are local fliers that
need help with a trainer or international champions,"
stated Szczur.
