About
Josh:
Josh is nearly 16 years old and resides in Sacramento,
California. With little more than two years flying RC
Aircraft, Josh has reached a level that many aspire too.
Josh began his RC career with cars, trucks and boats and
later became involved with aircraft. In October of 2002,
Josh flew his first Giant Scale(GS) model, the RC Universe
WM 80 Extra review plane.
|
| A
few fun-fly competition wins under his belt and there after
the WM Extra was consumed. Josh settled into his H9 33%
Sukhoi in January of 2003. Josh also started Warbird Pylon
Racing with a WM Mustang/YS 91. The Sukhoi began to limit
progress, so the Carden 40% Edge was next in line. Several
other GS models have been used and abused, all providing
valuable lessons. |
|
Freestyle
and 3D are Josh's primary areas of interest. IMAC competitions
were next on the list. Late in the 2003 season, Josh attended
his first IMAC competition and placed 4th in the Sportsman
class. This was the first time for Josh on the sticks
of the Carden 40% Cap. The next contest with the Carden
Edge netted him a 2nd in Sportsman, with a six point loss
margin and a 3rd in the Freestyle contest in heavy winds.
The IMAC season ended in Northern California and the Advanced
IMAC class is slated for 2004.
An
invitation to Las Vegas in 2003 for the Hobby Visions
Trade Show was next on the list. Josh flew several demo
flights and enjoyed lots of crowd interaction and mingling
with the other well known TOC pilots.
Joshs
flying interests are IMAC, 3D Freestyle, Warbird Pylon
Racing and electric aircraft. Outside of flying Josh enjoys
airbrush work, building and designing 3D electric aircraft
and work with composites. Josh is in the final stages
of completing his first model build, the Colombo Anderson
38% Extra.
