    Hello R/C Wingstation,

Nice idea with the Wingstation. What is the max. wingspan the tool will handle without allowing wing flex or twist while covering? Also what is the max. wing chord it will work with?

    Thanks, Ron

Thank you for your interest Ron.
It will accept wing span up to 85 inches and the wing chord up to 20 inch. But with optional parts you can even work on wings longer then 100 inch. Let me know what size wing (length and chord) you be working on.

Thanks for your reply....current projects are flying wings with spans in the 120~144 inch range...chords vary depending on wing design...ie; tapered or straight.

I suspect the Wingstation is geared more toward a traditional wing size and shape such as the one shown in your ad but I'll
keep it in mind for future projects.

    Thanks again, Ron

Thank you for your reply. I am glad you ask.
Not really, the tool will accommodate different wings sizes. As is shown it will work on delta wing like the one shown. It is 82 inch long delta. Taper wing or any other shapes will work with that too.
You need to realize that when working on wings you are actually work only on 1/2 wing when covering it. You can adjust to support the surface you are actually working on by re-positioning the wing. It does not matter if the one half of wing which you are not working on is sticking out. It just sit there anyhow doing nothing. Like covering wing with monokote or fabric you start at center of wing (supporting the section under that 1/2 of the wing) and working out to the tip of the wing.

    Thank you again.

One more thing. You can also check the ratings on this fixture at this site and see what other customers are saying.
