I learned a hard lesson yesterday on my first flight with my beautiful giant scale B17. My landing approach I banked too sharp too slow and beat her up. I don’t really have the time to fix her so anyone interested she is up for sale or trade. 1/9th scale wingspan models B17G for parts or repair. Here is a breakdown of what is in the plane. $1800 kit $950 landing gear Over $ 1,000 in servos $324 bomb kit NIP I paid $200 four 125 saitos two of them used once. Glennis wheels and brakes. 4600 A123 battery packs. Spectrum 12 channel rec 3 matchboxes, retracts, flaps and throttles Custom built fuse stand and wing rack. All the plans that come with the kit. Rolls of flite metal. I hate to even add up how much is in this plane!
Damage that needs repair. Worst part is one wing split in two, one wing tip, fuse not too bad, nose, bottom turret and stab tip. Cowlings were not mounted when flown. Airframe with retracts and retract accessories, Glennis wheels with brakes, plans, all the flite metal needed to repair, fuse stand, wing stand, balsa and plywood. $1,000 retract kit alone is $950 this plane was set up with a tank, valve and servo for each retract.
With 14 high torque 7954 and 5645 MG servos and three match boxes add $500
With four 125 saito engines and new never used six bomb package. add $500
Buy the whole package for $2,000 and get the 12 channel spectrum rec and two 4600 new A123 batteries. If I can't get 2k she will go back on the work bench. I will sell separate only if the airframe is sold first.
