Thanks for looking. Up for sale is one of the original 1/5 scale Fly Eagle F-86’s. This is the one with the wood formers before they went to the composite formers. From my research there were no failures with the original version with the wood formers.
This is the exact same model that Kevin Marks did a build thread on. See link:
The plane has the same servos and set-up as in the build thread. The scale retractable landing gear are currently not installed, but have been updated by Down and Locked to be electronically actuated (see pics). This plane features:
• Gear doors • Speed brakes • Sliding Canopy • Leading edge slats • Electric Retracts by Down and Locked • All servos • 89in L / 88in WS
Walk around video of the plane can be seen here:
As documented in the build thread there was one incident with the plane where the main gear blocks broke and the repair was made to strengthen this area. From my research this was the only weak point on this aircraft, and it has now been made stronger than the factory.
Overall this is a really complete aircraft. Some of the gear door hinges need to be re-glued and I never got around to checking all of the cylinders for leaks or checking the operation of the servos.
I’m selling because I’m getting rid of my larger aircraft. The only item I may be interested in trading would be a partial trade for a KingTech K-45, K70, or Jetmunts M70.
Due to size this will have to be a local deal or I can meet up to 150 miles from Oklahoma City. Please shoot me any questions you may have.
