Extremely reliable Extremely easy to crank Extreme Power
I purchased the engine New. It has 6 flights of about 9 minutes. The engine is very predictable with starting and the high/low adjustments are simple and respond well.
The engine has only seen Beila Props at 24x8 and 24x10. The RPMs respond well to the High end adjustment which is usually between 2 and 2 1/2 turns out. I kept the rpm range around 4500-5100 but never needed full power on a 26 pound plane. I only ran 40/1 gas which is the factory recommendation.
The engine is a stump puller of power. It cranks very easy but I do not recommend hand prop starting. A nice starter works just fine. The engine has very high torque and hand prop starting was not for me.
The engine will remain in the plane until sale so you may come watch it crank from dead cold. If you live to far away you may send someone on your behalf to observe the engine crank from dead cold.
By the way the prop drill is identical to the DLE 55; Therefore all the spinners and hubs will interchange.

Hey Pat,
You may be right. I paid $710 plus shipping. Its the largest single cylinder 4 stroke available so it caught my eye. It is likely I will just place it into another plane like a large cub. If you obtain one and have any questions just let me know. Hint........run the low end lean and its smooth for a 70cc.
