Hi Jesse. I used 5.25" Byron wheels initially when I built Zirolli Twin Beech gear. But when Byron went bellyup I used whatever I could find in that size. By the way, if you grind or machine about 1/8" from the inside top center, you can easily fit 5.5" I have used these on single engine versions such as the Mew Gull. Lee

WHOOPS! Forgot! The original forks were sand cast in almag, which came out beautifully! Much smoother than plain aluminum. When one of the 2 guys who did the work, up in Indiana, got cancer and died, the other guy said it was too much for him by himself. So he sent my plugs back to me. I hit 92 in a few months, so I decided it was time to hang it up, after some 50 years making custom retracts and fixed gear. I never got into big productiom, like Robart and others, because I didn't want the people and other headaches and so preferred to work only on individual custom stuff. I NEVER MADE A MOUNTAIN OF MONEY BUT i HAVE SURE HAD A BALL DOING IT, AND MADE MANY FRIENDS WORLDWIDE!! If you feel like gabbing, 561-478-1850. Besides getting stuff ready to sell, my main job is "SPOTTER" for my lovely bride, who still bowls in 2 leagues, is legally blind from Mac. Degeneration, can't see the pins! So I have to tell her what pins are standing for spares. She has some peripheral sight and can locate where she is standing. After more than 50 years of bowling, she knows exactly where to stand to shoot for them! She has beaten 200+ average male bowlers! She is famous at our local lanes!! Lee

Hi Jesse. I don't know if you have other questions or tried to reach me, but my "confuser" decided to take a vacation! I don't know what caused the problem, but I had to re-enter some programs! I use FIREFOX, with CHROME as a backup, and there have been some weird happenings on both lately! What do you use? I have to go run some errands but be back in about an hour. Must take Kay to dentist this PM Lee
