HATE to do it but selling my Don Smith quater scale P-47, after a two year build and still needs finishing. I'm selling my house and moving so this is why I'm selling it. You can see some of the build on rcscalebuilders.com under Don Smith then foreignloren. The plane is 90% built, the bottom of the fuse and belly pan need finishing. Landing gear all installed and two air cans sit in wing and one in fuse for tail gear. I did it this way so their are no air line to play with when assembling at the field and come lose. I made the stabs come off like the 3D planes to make it easier to transport to the field. It's a 3 piece 122wing,the flaps are done and hinged, all servo bays done, ailerons done and hinged, all hinging needs to be glued. I have lots of pictures of the build, just ask. Plane comes with cowl , canopy installed landing gear and all air systems.. No servos!. I also have NEW 3W-200 twin spark engine plus 34/12 painted carbon prop ,exhaust headers pipes and used Piaf canister exhaust pipes for extra pricing. Will sell all for $3,500 FIRM! or plane with retracts, canopy and cowl for $2,500 FIRM! Call or text me at 203 687 0834. You can come and see it anytime. Will crate it up for shipping for $250 parts and labor but you pay for shipping and make all the shipping arrangement's.

Hi, I under stand your concern. The cardboard tubes and aluminum tubes are around 5oz. all the wood I removed made up a little. I tried to keep it as light as possible with out losing strength . Servos mount in stabs, so that adds weight. The plane is design to run canister exhaust to counter balance some weight difference. All warbirds need nose weight anyhow and you have plenty of room up front
