This is my giant P-47 from Top Flite. It was built from a TF kit by one of our club's most experienced builders, fiber-glassed and painted .
It is powered by a Zenoah G-62 engine converted to electronic ignition which is lighter than the magneto version and idles very smoothly. It hand-starts with 3-4 prop flips after priming. It was bought new for the plane and is still breaking in. Compression is tremendous, much higher than my DA's and DLE's.
Servos on flying surfaces are Hitec 645 MG (except throttle and retract valve). Receiver is a JR 12-channel Powersafe powered by 2X A123 batteries. Engine ignition is powered via a Tech Aero IBEC which also serves as an ignition kill switch.
It has air Robart landing main gear and tail wheel, controlled by a UPS valve with sequencer for the gear doors which have their own cylinders to open/close. The main strut doors/covers were removed in the photos for flying on grass, but are available and included in the sale.
Last but not least, the cockpit features a full-length military pilot.
Total up dry weight is approx. 25 lbs.The engine and electronics were bought new for the plane and now have no more than 23-24 flights. The air frame has normal hangar rash that may require minor touch-up.
I have 2 more big P-47's (my favorite warbirds!) and decided to let this one go. Local pick up on Long Island NY, or I can drive up to 50 miles to help with delivery.
